Meet the GES Team!
The GES team is made up of educators who are passionate about teaching and learning, and supporting students of all ages and abilities, including those with brain injury and special learning needs. Our educational consultants have extensive knowledge of the school system and advanced qualifications in leadership and administration. We have teacher-tutors across the GTA and beyond, who bring with them expertise in all subject areas at all academic levels.
Passionate about teaching and learning and advocating for students of all abilities, Susan travels across the province working with students and their families. She has a double specialist in Special Education and English as a Second Language, her principals' qualifications, and is a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. To date, she's been into 27 different school boards, and countless private schools and post-secondary institutions advocating for the needs of her students, including those with special learning needs and brain injuries. Most recently, she has started working with Indigenous communities in Northern Ontario, bringing creative programming and supports to students and families who require a different and more personal approach to teaching and learning.
Susan has been a teacher for over 23 year, having spent her first 11 years in the public education system. She now dedicates her time to Goode Educational Services, and her independent K-8 school, GlenOak Academy in Mississauga.
Our educational consultants offer up their system knowledge and expertise in order to support clients, their families, and associated health care providers with making informed educational decisions. We travel across the province advocating for our clients, and setting them up for success at all educational levels. All our consultants have extensive knowledge of the school system, having worked as school administrators or in positions of added responsibility as department leads, or special education resource teachers. Whether it be reviewing Individual Education Plans, supporting a transition back to school, or assisting a student with their post-secondary goals, we've got you covered!
Our robust team of educators are all either certified teachers in good standing with the Ontario College Teachers, or pre-service teachers soon-to-be registered. All have experience teaching students of varied ability levels, including those with special learning needs. Importantly, not only do they provide subject-specific support, but they also assist students in the development of essential learning skills and strategies.
